WET/DRY induced draft axial fan closed circuit cooler. Designed for LOW WATER and LOW ENERGY CONSUMPTION by means of an optimized combination of latent and sensible heat exchangers. The WDW combines the proven technologies of an ATW cooler with a V-shaped dry cooler, keeping the typical advantages of both technologies and achieving the lowest operating cost. The WDW offers the ideal solution when energy-efficiency, sound and water consumption are decisive operating factors. Executed as per standard with Z-725 (725g/m² zinc) galvanized steel panels.

The dry heat exchange coils are positionned in V and consist of copper tubing with aluminum fins. The fins have an industrial fin thickness. The wide fin spacing guarantees perfect cleanability from inside and outside. The dry coil is completely independent from the wet section and consequently there is no risk for scaling or biological fouling on the dry coils.

The wet (evaporative) heat exchange element consists of EVAPCO's Thermal-Pak® coils featuring a patented design which assures maximum cooling capacity. The elliptical tubes of the coil are staggered in the direction of airflow to obtain a high heat exchange coefficient. The coils are manufactured from high quality steel tubing following the most stringent quality control procedures. The assembled coil is pneumatically tested under water in accordance with the European Pressure Equipment Directive (PED) 97/23/EC.

Long-lasting corrosion protection is guaranteed with Z-725 heavy gauge mill hot-dipp galvanized steel (Z-725 = 725 g/m² zinc). The galvanized steel construction withstands the most difficult environmental and operating conditions.

For special applications, Evapco can produce the units with stainless steel sump, with a water touched stainless steel construction or a complete stainless steel construction(AISI 304 or 316 are possible).
